So, Chaos Wars – what to say about them?
A lot of people have lined up to give their opinion on this topic, and I can’t say that I have noticed a clear consensus for either yay or nay. So here’s my opinion: I’m looking forward to it, even if it is only because it is something new and different.
I’ve been around for a long time. So long, that I found an old and tarnished medal deep at the bottom of my medal’s drawer. It is inscribed:
“Inaugural Clan Tournament Champion
Won all three clan wars in the first-ever Clan Tournament.
I’ve seen the rise of CyberStorm, and participated in the calculated effort that ended that dynasty. I’m not a big spender, but I’ve hung around long enough to be on the fringes of all the great ones – the names you know and fear. I know what it is like to be a seemingly perpetual silver winner.
That perhaps, is the biggest reason I’m looking forward to Chaos War – the possibility that it will shake things up – loosen some of the tight-knit, well-oiled gold-winning groups and let individuals rise to their own levels.
I see this war as being much more of an individualistic event. Worst case, if it doesn’t work out so well, we can always go back to the way things were. Possibly though, this might shake things up, and I can’t see that as bad.
May the odds be ever in your favor!
